亀の恩返し ウラシマ伝説

Introduction

Wikipedia writes: "Xexyz is a video game by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Entertainment System, first released in Japan on August 26, 1988 under the title Kame no Ongaeshi - Urashima Densetsu; it saw a North American release in March, 1990."

The Japanese version has a different story, and an intro based on the Urashima Tarō legend. You'll find both screenshots and text strings from the game here. Since I can't read Japanese, I made this page in the hope that someone will translate the game. In theory, I could make a translation patch or a FAQ/Guide, but I'm intially interested in just knowing what the game is about so I can start a project similar to my MetaFight/Blaster Master re-design project. If someone have pictures from the Japanese manual, that would be awesome. There might be some maps and other relevant info in it.
